Losing the benefit of shooting HD video

by Joe

Hi

I purchased a Sony HD widescreen camcorder to shoot the best quality video for our yoga DVD. I never realized you lose so much quality when rendering HD video. How does one create a crystal-clear DVD for retail when HD video gets converted to SD, thereby losing the benefit of HD? I just don't see the purpose of a $600 HD camera.

Hi Giselle

Based on what I read Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9 claims to handle HD, so it should work just fine.

Hi Mr. Video,

I have Sony Vegas Studio 9. I have not tried it yet. Will that do a good job, too?

Thanks,
Giselle

Hi Joe

No need to lose video quality. You need to upgrade your video editing software to render in HD. I recommend Sony Platinum HD
