Music and Picture alignment on Photo Story 3

by Kathleen
(Omaha, NE)

I have created a slideshow/"Story" on Photo Story 3. I have the music set to when I want it to change songs, and at which picture this is said to happen. When I "preview" or "watch" it, the photos take WAY longer to go through, thus throwing off when the music changes. I have it set that every picture is shown for 4 seconds...yes it is taking close to 8-10 seconds when I preview it for the pictures to change. This is for a wedding and the last thing I want is for this not to work. I am going to try moving the video acceleration in WMP but I need other suggestions too. Is it just my computer? Or will this happen no matter what?

Music and Picture alignment on Photo Story 3

Hi Kathleen

The problem is most likely that you have very large picture files that need to opened during your slide show. With today's high resolution cameras you can create images of 4, 5 or 8 MB. Unless you have a very fast computer, using these size files will take too long to load. You should aim to have each photo no larger then 1 MB. Too low and the resolution will be poor. Too high and they will take too long to load.

If you are already at 1 MB, its time to upgrade you computer!
