Is my .avi corrupted or my settings?

by Pete
(Wilmington, Delaware)

I downloaded a .avi movie that will play on Windows Media Player but shows running input, output and frame bitrate data files in the picture. When played with RealPlayer the same thing shows along with a buzzing sound. Do I need to convert the file to another format or is the file corrupt? Pete

Hi Pete,

It sounds like the AVI video you downloaded has this information on the video, as media players don't normally display it.

I recommend you contact the person you downloaded the video from and mention it to them (They may not be aware it's on there!).

If the info is on the original vodeo, converting it to another video format won't make any difference.

Hope that helps?
